My brother B got tired of my ‘new-job-is-so-hectic-poor-me’ baby-sized posts, and decided to take matters into his own hands. Here’s some of his thoughts on food.
When it comes to almost every family vacation we’ve had, I remember the food –not the sights — more than anything else. My (our) parents always encouraged us to try new things. “If you don’t try it, how do you know you won’t like it?” was a regular mantra whenever we traveled somewhere new. I take that philosophy with me to this day. There are many new culinary outposts popping up regularly where I live in the Southwest, so every new place I go, I try to find the area’s signature dish.
Branching out and seeking new things has led me to discover new tastes and experiences I’ve never imagined before. Letting go and dining on a whim has led to some of my favorite meals of my lifetime. Spending said meals with great friends and family only makes them better. So what are you waiting for?
