On Cities, and the Joy of Walking.

Some days I just like to walk. And walk. And then walk some more. I like the uncertainty of it, of exploring the world without a plan. Sans map, alone with only myself and the sounds of the city. I like experiencing the vastness of the world in my small , inconsequential way.

So today I wandered. North and south, into shops and outside of windows. I reveled in the blue, blue skies and cotton candy clouds. I took deep breaths and reminded myself how lucky I am, to have the privilege of wandering.

Some days, it’s hard to remember just how lucky I am. Other days, I get hours and hours of this. The world and I, existing in harmony. Easy, inspiring, and absolutely marvelous.
