On The New York Times Arts Section, and Feeling Validated.

Read mine. Now read theirs. Now let me bask in the joy of feeling validated by a major journalistic entity.

New York Times La La Land Article
It’s so nice when one of the world’s most trusted newspapers agrees with your love/hate feelings on a cultural phenomenon.

When you’re done, go watch some truly vibrant, classic, awe-inspiring movies and movie-musicals. I recommend (as does The New York TimesAll About Eve on the movie side of things. It’s 1 of only 3 films (and yes, one of them is La La Land) to receive 14 Oscar nominations.

If you’re looking for a jaunty movie-musical to provide a little escapism during these trying times, try 2 of my favorites: the Gene Kelly classic Singin’ in the Rain and the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers masterpiece Top Hat. You won’t be disappointed, and also, all of the lead actors can sing and dance!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to enjoy seeing my feelings echoed in the Arts section of the Times.
